To all Paddlers
« on: August 21, 2014, 02:17:08 PM »
Greetings to all the crazy paddlers out there.
I became a "Toppie" and was intreduced to this exiting sport by my very enthusiastic "Laaitie"
(Whom is now twice my size and weight)
He turned my arm to buy a Kayak and join him on the open waters and what a pleasure.

I just promised myself one thing Last Sunday when I was blundered on the launch that I must get back in shape or become a nice weather paddler.

Thank you for the new forum.
Cheers Moztoppie

Ja, really need to be in shape otherwise it is not a pleasure huffing and puffing against a head wind

Sharks !!!! always a danger but closest encounter I had was when I got "taxed" on a small Couta.
Ended up with only the head.

We call them "Grey Marlin" when caught.

I don't see it as "bang gat" but respect for those guys with the big teeth.
I have heard of encounters but never a physical attack.
That is also why I do not bleed Tuna when caught and I do not chum.
I don't want to start a feeding frenzy amongst the always present sharks.

Some of my Fishing buddy's made an agreement with the Sharks:
They will not go into the water as long as the sharks do not go into the Bar !!!!
