Great Fishing Conditions In Strand Today
« on: November 07, 2014, 04:15:12 PM »

Awesome Angling Conditions

The weather is great , lots of bait fish and of course one huge great white patrolling the outer reefs.( so be careful when fishing off the reefs )

If you ever wanted to fish the Strand area, tonite would be the time.

At present lots of bait fish in the Melkbaai area , opposite Zeezicht flats near Bens restaurant . Remember the bait fish are moving up and down the reefs.
So you'll have to check the bird action to see where they are when you get this side.

Seems like its going to be the same today.

I will go down to the beach in a few minutes take some photos, water temp and report back .
So far no wind.( that in itself is a miracle )  :)

Ok , lovely day , slight south easter but as far as reports on catches are that not much is happening .
Walking to the reefs I could not help notice how much bait fish are around , could be that either the fish are slugish or there are BIG predators out there.

There where a bit of cob on the reefs on Sunday as well as black spotties - meaning the water was on the colder side....
Will most probably hit the reefs on low tide again this weekend Andrew if you are interested.

And yes grinders do work on the reefs.... ;)

andrew id say take the battle with the thickest braid u got... most of the fights on the fish u are targeting will be over in 20 - 30 meters if ur lucky on the reefs...
